The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award Holds an Art Exhibition on the Occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day
On the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award holds an Art Exhibition for the participants in the Eleventh Season of the Award holding the same title as the occasion, on the seventh of next December in the Hall of the Bahrain Arts Society. The Exhibition will be held under the patronage of Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the National Council for the Arts and Honourary President of the Bahrain Arts Society.

Regarding the Art Exhibition, the Dignitary Khalid Kanoo, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award, explained that the Award decided to hold an artistic event during the celebrations of Bahraini Women’s Day, especially the artistic contributions in the Eleventh Season of the Award revolve around the topic Bahraini Women as well. Kanoo praised the level of participations received by the Award and stressed that they demonstrated distinguished abilities in artistic expression by young artists and deserve to be seen by lovers of the arts in an exhibition open to the public. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Chairman of the National Council for the Arts and Honourary President of the Bahrain Arts Society, for his kind patronage to the Exhibition, which constitutes important support for the Award’s events, as well as for Bahraini artists in the youth category.

It is worth noting that The Yusuf Bin Ahmed Kanoo Award launched a Fine Arts competition and allocated generous cash sums to the winners of the first three places, as part of its Eleventh Season, in which Bahraini artists and talented people from the age group (18-30) participated with creative works that express the Bahraini women. The winning works will be chosen during the next Exhibition.
